Communicating in the Peer Relationship

Peer Support Practice in Mental Health and Addictions Work

This workshop is a valuable refresher for existing peer support workers and an excellent introduction to peer support work for those exploring possible employment in the sector.

The reciprocal nature of the peer support relationship demands a unique approach to communicating effectively.   This one-day workshop covers such essentials as building a rapport, appropriate self disclosure, boundary setting and establishing mutually responsible relationships.

The training is delivered at Mind and Body’s brand new premises which are centrally located, close to cafes, with free parking on adjacent side streets.
